What better way to celebrate the night of my birthday than attending Fashion Designers Alliance Manila's Press VIP Kick Off Party at Seventh High, The Fort! The designers defnitely brought Seventh High to its name. Fashion bloggers, enthusiasts and the industry's finest crowd were all gathered for FaDAL Manila's official launch of its second assemblage. Each designer had his or her own cocktail, and yes, Versa-Vise had its own too! The highlight of the night was the short film that my best friend-slash-dad, Matthew Rodriguez, made and it was more than amazing. Another outstanding work! What more can I say? Thank you FaDAL for making my birthday really special. Carpe noctum.

Internationally acclaimed artist and wife of the late John Lennon, Yoko Ono, graces the cover of STATUS Magazine May Music issue. I give kudos to art director Soleil Ignacio for creating such an impressive illustration on their latest cover. I heard that STATUS packed a lot of illustrations in this issue and they also featured artists and bands from around the globe.

Join us in our release party at Fiamma next Friday (May 6, 2011).
Hope you guys love the new issue as much as we do, and see you at the party!"
Sorry for the long absence. I got so busy last week because of finals projects in CSB and I spent the last few days in Boracay, our family's second home. Well, it's only a week before I turn nineteen and that means my blog is also turning a year old! A lot of new things are taking place and I assure you that my blog will get bigger and better for you! Carpe diem.
Mark the date: May 27, 2011 at The Lounge (33rd floor), Malayan Plaza Hotel, Ortigas City.
Manila's top fashion bloggers will come together in an event you wouldn't want to miss!
We recognize the bloggers’ massive power to inspire, and influence the public on how they think, behave and spend. But more than that, we want to use that power in order to make an action in spreading social awareness and issues to our fellowmen.
The team, Melai Entuna of (http://styleandsoul.blogspot.com) Style and Soul, Ana Gonzales of (http://anagonsblog.blogspt.com) The Fashionista Commuter and Aisa Ipac of (http://ipaxme.blogspot.com) Drowning Equilibriums, brings you the 1st-ever Bloggers Bazaar featuring Manila's top and most influential fashion bloggers selling their personal closet items and selected pieces from their respective brands. Our aim is to create a venue where inspiring bloggers and their readers can personally come together and interact with each other. It will also serve as a networking site as we invite bloggers and readers from different categories and a couple of friends from the press and media. The most important part of this event is that, it is a tie-up project with KIDS FOUNDATION and certain sponsorship proceeds will be donated to charity.
After weeks of preparation for Fashion Speaks - a fashion design competition à la Project Runway in DLS-CSB, we have come up with our peacock inspired outfit that perfectly depicts who we are as the 3OH's. Each team composes of a designer, a stylist and a model. Avi Castaño and I designed the outfit and painstakingly selected the fabrics that we used for it. Avi really put her heart into making the belt and dyeing the trail that resembles the colorful tail of the peacock. Being the stylist, I was tasked to find the perfect shoes for our creation. I pulled out from the very chic Soule Pheonemon. Thank you Nicole Puentevella! And our lovely muse, Monica Mariano brought the clothes to life on the runway. We, the 3OH's, are very much inspired by Katy Perry and her songs. The peacock symbolizes of how we should always keep on moving forward and not having regrets. Our memories, whether they are good or bad, are as colorful as its tail. What we made for Fashion Speaks symbolizes our true friendship and all the memories and experiences that we've been through for the past ten months. As we always say, no regrets, just love.
Here's a snapshot taken backstage.
We bagged third place in the competition.
We would like to thank everyone who came to watch and support us!
Our love goes to all of you.
Thank you for supporting the 3OH's.
We'll be coming up with more works soon!
Thank you to our number one supporter, Carlo Alcala, for taking the video!
It was an amazing experience to work with the two owners of Paperbag Vintage - an online store that sells a mix of brand new and restructured pre-loved clothing items. Gwyneth Albarracin, Kristen Morados and I collaborated to shoot their latest collection and I must say, the clothes are really chic! Shooting twelve layouts in a span of four hours, walking and driving around the streets of Makati, and going back and forth Gwyneth's condo - well, this has been the most exhausting outdoor shoot that I have done but I ended the day with a big smile after seeing the two of them very pleased with the results. 'Twas really fun working with you guys, I cannot wait to let everyone see the photos!
I had a very fun shoot today and I'm really grateful to have worked with my 3OH's triplet sisters, Avi Castaño who does the make up in most of my shoots (we're already a team, hehe) and Monica Mariano, the queen of style in our former block FMAA and my fierce friend, Regg Macasiray who styled in this shoot, my buddy-slash-seatmate in two subjects this term who I never expected to do hairstyling, Adam Teh, and our lovely Little Miss Summer, Pathra Cadness. Working with your friends is always fun and even though it was very exhausting (six layouts in three hours), we managed to still make it work. The photos turned out so... Teen Vogue! It's a shoot that I will never forget, thank you for the collaboration, guys, until the next ones. Unveiling Little Miss Summer in a few.
