I had another shoot today and this time around I went back to where The SDA Project shot our friend David Guison - the streets of Makati. I collaborated with my 3OH's triplet sister, Avi Castano, for this one and we definitely had a great time shooting with our model, Manuela Basilio. I'm so grateful that Yeoh Egwaras gives me the best of the best for my shoots. A true Filipina beauty, Manuela's a fresh face in the industry as she only started modeling three months ago but I have to say, she's a supermodel in the making. She's so kind and bubbly and she definitely delivered beyond our expectations. We immediately fell in love with her after taking the first shot! It was an honor to have a shoot with her. I'm sure that one day, she'll be one of the top models in the metro.
Last Sunday while lying in bed, inspiration came to me all of a sudden and I said to myself that I need to turn these ideas into photographs. The first person who came into my mind was Yeoh Egwaras whom I personally met during our shoot with Darz Pobre. We've been wanting to collaborate and it finally happened today. I'm more than grateful to him for giving me the best team to work with. He was the one who booked them all for the shoot. We started at four and ended before eight. It was another exhausting shoot but the photographs taken were worth it. I want to thank our models Jackie Milner, Gwyneth Albarracin, Arny Roque, Mark Go, and Ericzon Yee, our make up artists Miki Kierulf and Bambi de la Cruz, our stylists Posh Cabbo, Rech Valdez and Lia Contreras, and of course, Mr. Yeoh Egwaras.
Sorry for the crappy photo by the way, my basic kit lens gave up on me
during the shoot so I had my iPhone used for our group shot.
For The Love Of War to be unveiled tomorrow. Carpe diem.
College freshman year went by too fast and it felt like it was only yesterday that we
all took our first step inside the School of Design and Arts building.
I could say right now that I've had the time of my life this freshman year.
I met my lifetime friends, I got so many opportunities, my friends and I made The SDA Project,
I became the SDA Frosh Representative, I got more opportunities, I made more friends,
I made a few enemies along the way, I surpassed challenges and problems, I became a better me,
and I met this one special person who changed my life and taught me the true definition of love.
We watched One More Chance in our PHILOMA class yesterday. There's this one line that really struck me and it goes, "at the end of the day, even though things have changed, some things remained the same." No regrets, just love, don't ever look back.
This is the second time that I have something made from him
and each piece that he designed for me really
brings out my personality.
One thing that made this shirt and bow tie significant,
it's a very special gift for me. I love you.
If there were a day that I look forward to at the start of the week, it would be Thursday. Despite my schedule (8AM until 6PM), I enjoy my Thursdays because I get to spend it with my best friends (I have classes with all of them except for Valerie but we always have lunch together usually in McDonald's) and I celebrate HT (either at Beach or Rooftop) after classes. Every Thursday's a happy Thursday. How do you spend your Thursdays in Taft?
My very vivacious college friend, Julyen Divinagracia, surprised me a few days ago when she posted an album on Facebook entitled SDA Project Parody. It made my day! I really like how she copied my style of taking photos of the people featured in our blog. She also puts amusing descriptions on each photo. A while ago, she took photos of me in my State Of the Council Address attire. SOCA by the way is our Student Council's version of SONA and all the officers were required to wear red corporate attire. Love you Julyen! Keep on posting photos on your album.
A bouquet of roses has been the most common gift during Valentine’s Day but these ones will definitely make an impact to your girl. You can never go wrong with Tecson Flowers. During the shoot with prominent fashion photographer Darrel Pobre, I got a first-hand look at the flowers and I must say, they are just so Chuck Bass. My apologies if I’ve been using Chuck Bass as an adjective for the past weeks. Each bouquet’s stylishly made and the thing that made me fall in love with them – the flowers are perfectly embraced with a bowtie. My favorite pick is the one in the photo above – Holland roses wrapped in checkered fabric stitched and clasped by a stylish bowtie with a jeweled button. The materials were nothing but in good quality and the flowers were just lovely. I bet any girl even a Blair Waldorf would love to receive them for Valentine’s Day! Tecson Flowers should be every gentleman’s choice.
